Courses Spring 2023
For the last 25 years, PPL have been the leading provider of post-graduate multi-disciplinary biomechanics courses in Ireland.
PPL's courses are designed to expand the clinician's knowledge, skills and confidence in the practical application of biomechanics, into their day to day practice.
Our programs encompass Biomechanical Assessment, Clinical Reasoning, Prescription Writing and a broad range of evidence based clinical management strategies.
Applicants should hold a medical qualification of Level 7 (equivalent or above) such as a BSc. in Podiatry or Physiotherapy.
Our Tutors
Our courses tutors are experienced multi-disciplinary clinicians, having worked and continuing to work, in different environments with differing patient profiles.

Joanne McKenna
Joanne is a Podiatrist and one of the co-founders of PPL Biomechanics, and works in device design and manufacturing, and product development. Joanne worked clinically for many years in the NHS and in Private practice in Cork, specialising in orthotic device prescription and paediatrics. Joanne is passionate about preventative medicine and delivering evidence & solution-based healthcare and education to both Clinicians and Patients.

James McKenna
James is a Podiatrist and co-founder of PPL Biomechanics, he specialised in MSK care, orthotic device and footwear prescription. James has over 30 years-experience in Private Practice while also providing specialised services to the HSE, delivering preventative care to a wide range of patients from complex orthopaedic presentations to International athletes. James is interested in supporting clinicians in delivering practical solutions that centre around holistic patient needs.

Autumn 2023 Course Schedule
Our Autumn 2023 courses all encompass Biomechanical Assessment, Clinical Reasoning, Prescription Writing and a broad range of evidence based clinical management strategies.
Our courses are tailored towards disciplines from similar care environments managing different patient groups. However, we welcome a multi-disciplinary audience, with differing levels of experience to apply for any program that best meets your training needs. We review all course applications to assess program suitability, and will contact you if we think an alternative program may be more beneficial to your specific needs.

All of our courses are designed, and strictly reserved, for qualified medical practitioners. To apply for any course you must already be registered with PPL as a practitioner. As a registered practitioner you will gain access to all of our online Biomechanical training & education resources, as well as our full clinical & technical support services.
