This brace is specifically designed for the anatomical profile of a bariatric patient. It provides a customisable level of mediolateral ankle support for the management and prevention of ankle injuries. Polyethelene plates can be added to the medial and lateral aspects of the ankle to provide enhanced stability. Without the rigid plates, this device can be worn as a compression sleeve for mild ankle support. A figure-of-eight elastic cross strap further stabilises the joint.
