Like you, we are continuing to balance the risks of getting busier with Health & Safety. Our dedicated Team at PPL will continue to make changes and improvements in services over the coming weeks and months.
The Health and Safety and distancing protocols we have adopted in relation to Covid-19 have significantly increased our operating costs and we have also been subject to related price increases from our suppliers. To address these additional costs and secure the future of the company we will be implementing a price increase across all products, effective from Tuesday September 1st.
In managing these costs, PPL has been assisted by a number of government initiatives including the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme. We are now busy and therefore, like most of our Private Practice customers, we will not qualify for the replacement Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme. With assistance from Enterprise Ireland, the company has embarked on a full Lean Program, so we are working on reducing our costs and identifying how we can pass discounts onto our customers.
While we value all orders received from our customers, the processing, dispatching and administration of small orders create a disproportionate level of costs. We will therefore apply a range of discounts for larger volume orders that allow us reduce these costs.
Details of these discounts will be shown on our new price list. The Price Increase will vary from product to product based on the increased costs relating to either their manufacture or supply. For example PPL’s CAD CAM Custom Orthoses are manufactured in a quicker time with lower labour costs, resulting in a comparatively lower price increase than for other manufactured products.
We will be sending you your new Price List next week, but for now we wanted to give you enough notice to enable you to review your own pricing strategy accordingly.
